Beautiful buildings and grounds

The Roosevelt is a mixed bag. You get loads of character and about the most affordable loft living in Atlanta with a nice location. The sad thing is that Aderhold seems to be neglecting this property. There are old cars with flat tires sitting in the parking lot (we were told cars with flats get towed when we signed our lease, what a joke!) and the gate seems to be broken a lot. The grounds look good at a glance but if you check the back of the buildings, you see it doesn't look so good back there. The pavement is all broken up and the dumpsters sit out in the open looking trashy along with the broken down vehicles. It took 2 weeks to get my a/c fixed and after 3 months I'm still waiting for a response about broken fixtures in my closet. I overheard a neighbor complaining that it took a year to get her ice maker fixed. If you live in the gym, be prepared to hear your neighbors televisions, stereos and sometimes conversations. I suppose the high ceilings in some of the apartments make for bad acoustics. They're all good people though and I've liked everyone I have met. Several of my neighbors made a point to welcome me to the building. The office staff is always friendly when you go in, but if you work a 9-5 your only communication with them will be on the phone since there is never anyone there on Saturdays and quite often you will get the answering service instead of the office. The Roosevelt could be fabulous but right now it needs some attention. Even with the negatives, I still love my apartment. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
