I love the building & the apartment itself; it's the people here who are the worst.

For the price, the apartment itself is a great deal, and the area is gorgeous. I feel completely safe walking down the street alone. My one-bedroom apartment is quite spacious, & I love the high ceilings. Maintenance is good, they usually get to your complaint within a couple of days.

As for the people, the tenants couldn't be ruder and the management couldn't be more incompetent & biased. At least once a week they leave fliers on our doors warning people to pick up their dog's poop (you can't walk through the grass at night), return the ladders, to stop going on the roof, and to stop leaving garbage outside the door. But people keep doing those things & management does nothing. Using the on-site laundry room is a hassle, too. It's always unkempt and dirty, and most of the time people leave their clothes sitting in the washers & dryers for hours. I could go on for days about all the annoying, inconsiderate habits of the people here. People leaving cigarette packs & beer bottles everywhere, kids running down the halls at night, the manager constantly condescending to anyone younger than her. Oh, and the gate is always messing up, so there's really no point for it.

So if you can handle all that for the price & location, or manage to get a unit with w/d hookups that's a little more isolated from everyone, go for it.
