BURGLARY - SPECIFIC DETAILS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Our electric bill during the summer was $250 a month. That is not a mistype; $250/month. I have no idea what the hell they bought for their AC units, but it's s**t. The water was high as well, at around $60.
Let me also say that we were broken into by a guy who the detective said breaks into places here all the time, and the management does not care (and will deny it). Their video cameras are worthless since only the police can view them, and can only view them at the apartment complex (yes, that's right. You are not allowed to view them and point out the person carrying your stuff).
The guy breaks in by kicking in the door since the only thing keeping the deadbolt in is drywall. He did it between 1pm and 5pm, in the middle of the day! If you choose to move in, here are the details on the alarm system that I had to research online. For the manual, search for "DSC PC500RK" on google.
Our master code was "1234", so use that to program the alarm and you can make sure the alarm goes off if the door is opened and the code is not entered. You do not need a company to monitor the alarm for an access code on entry to be used.
There were also lots of car break-ins, maintenance is pretty bad, I heard stories of mold from leaking AC units which are locked in a closet so you can't see them, termites, ants, etc.
The workout room is a joke, the treadmills never work and the whole room is only about 12x12. The tennis and basketball courts on the roof are nice, but I always see people who don't live here sneaking in through the gate to go up and use it.
It's sad, because this place used to be very nice, but bad management and poor security has turned it into crap. The apartments themselves (besides the utilities) are nice though.

It should be noted that just 6 weeks before this burglary, myself and another resident had a meeting with the property management in which we outlined three pages of specific security and maintenance concerns that we believed increased the risk of crime or harm to residents. Many of the points raised in this meeting were left unresolved. Please email me if you would like a copy of the minutes from this meeting or have any other questions about the property.
