I've lived here a little over a month.

I've had a few maintenance problems already, but the staff have been very responsive, returning my calls and making sure things were taken care of.

I don't feel unsafe at all. The doors entering the floors from the garages have all had locks placed on them, so you must use an access card to gain entry. I'm a single woman and have lived in several large cities in the U.S. and realize that you must rely on your own common sense for your safety. How can you blame the complex on the rif-raff that may be present in a place such as Midtown Atlanta' I understand peoples frustration, but please understand that crime can and will happen anywhere. Be wise...this is not Bel-Air. If you drive only 2 blocks east on North Ave., the scene changes and will possibly give you a reality check.

The floor plans are excellent for this area, although the price for the units can be high. Equity operates based on the market, so if you check the site often, you'll see that the prices fluctuate daily and you may be lucky and get in at a great rate.

The previous poster was correct. You can transfer to any Equity apartment in Atlanta without breaking your lease. I transferred from another Equity apartment into Savannah. The rule as of this year is that if it's more than 10 miles from your present apartment, you don't pay a transfer fee...if it's less, you pay $250.

If you're thinking of moving here, I can honestly say my experience has been good. I read this site almost daily before planning my move and was expecting much worse than what I've experienced.

I will update this posting if anything changes.

Anyone is entitled to an initial opinion and update, as I stated I would post. I have posted this updated under the 7/23/07 posting, for which I agree with most of the reviewers comments.
