Your average apartment complex

I think people forget that when you live in a large complex with 2-4 leasing agents to organize it all, things happen and sometimes aren't fixed in the drop of a hat. Think of how crappy a job that is, anyway. No wonder there's such a high turnover..
I have had almost no problems with the office. Some of them can be a little fake but I'm not expecting long lasting friendships with the agents either.
As far as maintenance goes; I have hardly had any problems with the 2 apartments I have lived in (1 unit for 6 months and another for a year). One time the battery in my smoke detector needed to be changed and they came in and took care of it quickly. The maintenance guys are even friendly and helpful. One of them helped me get a heavy box out of my trunk and opened the hallway door for me. They almost always say hello, too.
I have a few complaints with my apt and the grounds etc...One time I was in my bathroom and I actually heard the person above me urinate. This person apparently has hardwood floors and likes to wear heeled shoes, all the time. People let their dogs poop in the garage sometimes and don't pick up after their dogs in the common areas even when bags are provided like they are everywhere else. Its disgusting but once again you have to remember that when you live with 4 buildings of people, there are going to be a bunch of slobs that don't care about the rest of the tenants.
The security could be a lot better. I even forgot we have a security officer or whatever he is because I have only seen him a handful of times. The access cards for the hallways seemed to help but people still let random people in behind him that obviously don't have a card. Random people still play basketball on the roof and probably swim, or should I say wade, in the bath tub pool. This crazy lady tried to hang out with me and my friend one afternoon on the roof. She told us she didn't know which apartment she lived in and that her husband was hanging out with 'Too Short' in Tennessee...I'm pretty sure she was smoking crack.
My car has NEVER been broken into. Maybe its the blinking red light indicating I have an alarm system' Or MAYBE its the fact that I NEVER leave ANYTHING in my car' Not even trash. I always take my faceplate out, too. So theres a nice little tip for those who are complaining about their cars getting broken into. The parking spaces are small but I think there's enough spots so parking in a less crowded area is possible. I HAVE seen what I thought was a drug sting in the parking deck one time and some crackwhore and thugs got arrested. I apparently have missed all the crime and other things people are talking about on here and I guess I'm just lucky. Also, I was out of town when they started the handicap ramps so it hasn't really bothered me. I think they should already be there though'

All in all, this has been an average place to live. I've lived in crappier and better places. I'm bored the with the location, although it is convenient being next to Publix and a 24 hr Walgreens. Because of the convenience, its a hassle a lot of the time to get in out from North Ave. People are retarded and jam up the entrance/exit.
