Be prepared to be robbed.

After living here for less than one year, I was broken into, my car was dinged many times by resident/visitors in parking garage, and when I spoke with the management about thte attempted breakin-they conveniently didn't have the forms for me to fill out but told me they would fax them to me the next day. I never received them. When I finally went back and spoke with Tammy (Management) she said that my file did not show any incident ever being recorded. That really pissed me off so I ended up breaking my lease and moving out of this area (June, 2008). There are lots of homeless people in the area. The Publix grocery store is always arresting people, and overall the area is not clean or well kept. **The maintenance guy is very nice and tries to accomodate the residents** Be prepared to hear the residents in the unit next door as the quality of the units are poor. They look nice but are not insultated well. Also if you happen to tour the property, you are rushed through property and not allowed to view details of the quality of the complex AND you don't get your money back for the garage clicker or security card ($150.00 down the drain). There are much safer/cleaner and better built units in the area which are less expensive. Just keep looking. Good Luck! uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax

Out of curiosity, where would we find :nicer and cheaper" apartments? I renewed my lease in August and went from a 2 bedroom down to a 1 bedroom. In the process I looked around at other properties in Midtown and could not find anything nicer or cheaper. In this area, the ones across from us on North are a lot more expensive and the Alexan on Ponce was roughly the same price but less square footage. As far as the homeless, you find them in the Highlands, Inman Park, Little 5 and all over. Not just at the Walgreens and Publix. In the 2.5 years I have been here nothing has ever happened to me like you described. I agree with you about the maintenance guy. They are very helpful. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. People who read these negative reviews have to understand that if conditions were as bad as people claim this place would be condemned. For as many people that have claimed they were calling the health department I have not seen anything to indicate SM was in the wrong. People do get shot every night in the city of Atlanta and it's typical for a major metropolitan city. Obviously you are very naive or can't comprehend how big cities are.

Anonymous needs to post his/her name. This place is a dump, top to bottom, anyone who's posting positive responses either just moved in or works for Equity.
