Over all the apartments are economical and close to the Perimeter area for those who work in that area and do not want the hassle of long commutes in the morning. Most of the staff is friendly (Elizabeth and Lisa when she was there.

However, I think the management of Shallowford Oaks could do more to keep their promises. I was promised repairs of my kitchen counters when I moved in 4 years ago and that never happened. I was promised a screen door for my patio and that never happen. They covered my patio with a material that is cracked and peeling and bubbling. It also stains from normal rain and dirt that accumulates. They threaten to take out the back stairs, which allows for another exit in the event of an emergency, but they have not followed through on that...yet. If they do I will move.

The drive way needs repaving not patching in spots. It Floods in spots during a heavy rain and there are speed bumps that are to high, they closed off the back entrance that is convenient for the tenants on the North Peachtree side of the complex. We are forced to come all the way around the other side to access our units, when it would be more convenient to enter from North Peachtree.


Tenants are not informed of crime on the property so we can protect ourselves and look out for each other. I had recommended the complex to a friend and consequently she was burglarized. Her front door was kicked in supposedly by a former tenant.

Some tenants do not care about their neighbors and loud music and the sound from large screen TV's are often an issue.
