This USED TO BE a great apartment community (see reviews from before January 2007). Over the years I have lived here, there were several changes of management and staff. But each change always saw an improvement in quality... until now. The last management before the new owners were certainly the best. They were courteous, professional, and friendly--I was always addressed by name when I came into the office (they knew who I was), and they always made a real effort to be responsive and helpful. All that has changed, and I wish I hadn't let the new owners talk me into renewing my lease. As other reviewers have pointed out, they changed our utilities company and our bill has doubled. They misled me about this when I renewed the lease, telling me that the new company would be better than what we had. Also, the new lease took away the grace period we always had with previous owners: rent is now due on or before first of the month, or they impose a penalty. The "feel" here has changed. When I come home I now see ugly signs set up all along the property urging people to come and rent, and there is often this silly guy dressed up as a stop-light standing at the drive-way trying to get people to come in. TACKY! TACKY TACKY! The staff are rude. I even get a feeling that they are leasing apartments to a less desirable sort of renter. The property has gotten noisier and dirtier in just a few months, and I feel less safe walking around at night. I had planned to wait until the current lease expired before pursuing my intention to buy a house, but the present situation has led me to decide to start looking sooner, and I am so unhappy that I am willing to lose some money to get out. Please take my advice. Look elsewhere!
