Overall o.k. but not if you EVER want something fixed.

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
When I first moved into Spalding Gables in May of 2005, I was reasonably pleased with my apartmentfor about 2 weeks. Thats when i started to notice that the paint on my walls was so cheap that practically everything that touched the walls left a mark! but thats not the bad part. The problem is that when you try to wash the mark off the paint comes off as well. It doesent even matter if I use a wet tissue with just water, the paint always comes right off. And this is in every room in the house. but the worst place is in the kitchen. for some reason they decided not to put a backsplash behind my stove, the tile ore sealant that protects the wall behing your stove from kitchen stains, grease, anything that can fly upwards onto your wall. And since EVERYTHING stains my walls, the wall behing my stove is DISGUSTING!!! I do alot of cooking and the thing looks like I poured grease on my wall. Now when ever i go to someone elses house i notice that this apartment is the only place I have ever seen without a backsplash.
BUT: when I tried to get them to do something about it they just dropped of an old can of paint on my doorstep. I am not a painter. But i tried. The problem with that is that the paint was so old and watered down that instead of covering up the marks i now have 1) the original stain 2) a lighter colored ring around the spot 3) the actual paint on my walls all over my apartment from my efforts.
So Then I went back to the leasing office again, and they said they would have someone come repaint it. keep in mind this is still May.
well now it's the end of February and my lease expires soon, and nothing has ever been done. I called, I went to the office, I emailed. Nothing! I have not had Any of my relatives over because this place looks like a mess. I look like I cant clean up, and its so embarassing. DO yourself a favor and think again!!!!
