Living in an Apt Unit Vs living in a Townhouse Unit

We moved in November 2006. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The maintenence men are very friendly and are prompt at fixing any request no matter how big or small. They will even come on a weekend to fix an emergency. I think there is a difference between living in the townhouses over a building with multiple apt units. We have our own parking space in front of our townhouse. We live in a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse. I have not heard kids out at 2 a.m. I do know that when we are at home, we cannot hear our neighbors from in their apartment or their stereo. I definitly don't smell their cooking.I have asked my neighbor and he said that the noise from our kids doesn't bother them. He said they can't hear our kids playing inside.
They have had a Christmas party which was very nice, and gave out breakfast one morning. They even have a rule that kids aren't supposed to ride their bikes around the complex. They keep the grounds nice.
The one thing I don't like is that people don't always clean up after their dogs. They provide areas to take our dogs and bags to use to clean up after them, and a company that comes and takes care of the area. People still let their dogs go in other areas, even with signs posted telling them not to.
