Loud,Horrible, Noisey, Deceiving are only a few words to describe it

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008

We moved into our 2 bedroom apartment in Feb of 2007 and things started off bad from day 1. My fiance lived in the apartment complex already and had her fair share of bad experiences but it was close to both our jobs so we decided to upgrade to one of their two bedroom apartments and move in together. There was an opening coming up in a few weeks for a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor and they said it would go quickly so we grabbed it. They forced us to sign all of the paperwork up front (about move in conditions, etc) We reluctantly did so.

We moved in and the apartment was in good condition, the carpet looked clean (they had someone come in and clean it) the walls were painted etc. After about a month of living there stains started appearing on the carpet, fainy, but they were very noticeable if you stood back and looked at it. We never dropped anything on the carpet so we knew exactly what it was, the cleaning they did got the surface stains but they just bled back through after walking on the carpet.

The noise issues started happening just a few weeks after moving in, the person above us must have had a weight machine or something because randomly you would hear what sounded to me like a 50lb weight hit the floor. and it would knock picture on the wall, you also would hear people running around up there. I notified management numerous times to no avail. Another issue we hade were with college kids who moved into a townhouse that was across the driveway from us, they would go outside at 12am, 1am, 2am, etc.. and scream and holler and throw beer bottles on the ground and set off fireworks. They would throw parties every other week also and it would wake you up at 3am in the morning. If you asked them to be quite they would tell you to shut the f@*# up.

I spoke the property manager about this numerous times and she basically drug her feet on it for a month and i called numerous times in between. She said there were processes she had to go through and that she would give them a warning. it would happen again, i would call her and she would say the same thing. finally after me calling 10 times she took action and got a lawyer involved and got them evicted after about another 2 weeks. Well they dont screen applicants very well because guess who else they let rent the townhouse.. another group of young party kids. Who did the exact same thing. Thankfully we had already found another place to move too.

We move out and are told that our security deposit will be mailed to us within 30 days. We give them our address and go on our way. Well we call over a month later and they say that they are not going to refund any money because of the damages to the apartment, most notibaly the carpet. We explained to the property manager that the carpet was like that right after we moved in and she quickly brought up how we signed the move in form saying everything was OK. We explained that we had to sign it before we move in to get the apartment. She said that we are lucky that they are not charging us more and that is where it has been left. I took picture of the condition of everything before I we left because i had a feeling something like this might come up and I have a friend who is a lawyer who said he would contact them and do what he can.

Aside from that Crime is a problem, there were multiple cases of car break ins in the complex.

Parking is a nightmare if you come home after 5pm.
The grounds are kept up, however people do not clean up after their pets very well.

Maintenance works well, they respond usually the next day to any issues you might have.
