Great place - but badly mismanaged!

I've lived here for several years and have enjoyed it. My apartment is large and light, the rent is reasonable, the location is great. And although I didn't really think that the apartments needed renovating, they're being renovated - and the renovations are really nice. Hardwood floors and shag carpeting, pendant chandeliers in the dining room, track lighting in the kitchens, ceramic tile flooring in the baths, new bathroom and kitchen countertops, new black appliances with glass cooktops - wow! What's not to like'
But the current management staff really needs to get a grip on things. Because of the renovations, residents are being given short lease terms and will have to move at the end of their lease to an apartment that has already been renovated or to another complex. We've been working with them to find another unit to move to, and did find one - but we were told that the unit wouldn't be ready until the end of the year, which was OK with us. But when we visited for the second time today to nail down a move date, we've now been told that the unit will be ready right away and they cannot hold it for us. Phone calls to the management office are never returned, and I wonder if we'd even have known that we were expected to be moving right away if we hadn't been pushing to determine a date. Now I don't even know if we will be able to stay here at all as we aren't prepared to move that quickly - and the worst of it is, our lease would not have expired for a few months but now that we'd put down a deposit on the renovated unit, they've already leased our current unit and we have no choice but to move.
My advice to anyone looking to move to this complex is to wait to see if the management staff changes. It's still a great place, you just can't depend on the management staff. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
