Rude Nasty Staff, Bad Service, Poor Upkeep, NO SECURITY!

Sterling At The Park is an over-priced complex staffed by rude and constantly changing building management personnel. Day to day management continuity is non-existent. Management personnel do not possess the appropriate communication or property management skills, and frequently use their own job insecurity as an excuse to be belligerent, nasty and sarcastic to the tenants. Maintenance and grounds crews can be found complaining about the office management, another indication of the lack of appropriate building management expertise and team-work.
Apartments are poorly constructed, constant leaks, drains plugged up, cheap paint and thin carpet add to the very shoddy workmanship. Hallways and garbage areas constantly smell. Hall carpets are rarely kept clean. A daily pick-up and clean-up is non-existent. It is an embarrassment for such expensive rental units $1200.00 monthly to be managed with a trailer park mentality.
Having friends or relatives to your apartment is a total embarrassment, as you find the call entry boxes frequently not working, dog droppings in the parking area and hallways, and the smell of cat urine in the walkways. Overhead pipes in the garage drip on the cars leaving spots that can only be buffed out professionally. Dozens of cars have been broken into, and muggings/robberies have occurred inside the property. There are no cameras, safety mirrors, or security measures other than a card system that is frequently abused or not operating properly.
The management apparently rents out parking spaces to office workers nearby adding to more traffic, less parking, and a security breach for residents. Elevators are found often not working or stuck. Response time to this type of emergency is pitiful, residents will actually try to help the people stuck in the elevators who can be heard screaming for help.
Rental of apartments are open to anyone who can come up with all the fees and a roommate or two, making the building very transient as roommates change and unexpected guests seem to stay permanently. Lease renewal rates are outrageous and a simple request of your carpets being cleaned with a signed renewal is denied. There are no rental renewal incentives, except sarcastic management comments like how much more it will cost you have to hire a mover and move again.
The management's poor attitude along with the lack of appropriate security, high rentals fees, and overall poor maintenance of the property makes this a place you should definitely avoid considering as an apartment.
