Delusional Parking Policy for Sociable Residents

I have lived at Gables Druid Hills for six months. The apartment and grounds do meet my expectations. However, the new parking policy has forced me to not to renew my lease and search for a more guest friendly community. In the beginning, before the property converted to the Gables, everything was like the picture the leasing agent painted. After the conversion, management started moving residents in left and right. It was then that they decided that the two cars per bedroom policy was making parking a tight situation. The management imposed a parking permit policy (one car per person on the lease or rent a garage for $100 more per month) to remedy the overcrowdedness that they caused. There?s only 12 visitor parking spaces in the entire community! Residents and visitors fight for these spaces every day in fear of parking in the wrong place and being towed. Evidently their solution is not working and they are grasping at straws to get any available spot that there is. Pretty soon, the residents will be assigned certain hours that they can be at home. This is not what I consider luxury living.

The point of having an apartment complex is not to stay 50% occupied and 50% empty. If that is not working for you or others, what do you suggest? I think I counted 40 visitor spots the other day, and my visitor had no problem finding a place.
