I wasn't surprised to read that other residents are having the same problems that I am having. It all started when Gables took over management of the property. I have never lived at a more sloppily managed apartment complex than this. It is true...they arrive when they want and leave when they want, so if you need to go to the office to get a UPS or Fed-Ex package, you have to go when it is convenient for them. Don't bother calling ahead because you will get the answering service. The latest and greatest issue affecting everyone is the balcony issue. This spring, our balconies were screwed shut to prevent residents access to the balcony and storage units while they made structural repairs to them. Those repairs are still being made and we haven't been able to enjoy our "estate sized" patio all summer. But, we're still paying for it because all we got was a one-week rent concession. There have been a lot of "questionable" residents moving in lately - obviously Gables has a different screening criteria than the previous management company. Needless to say, the neighborhood's safety and appearance is going down hill fast! I could go on and on with a list of complaints about the service, property, and parking problems. Evidently, I'm not the only resident that feels let down and disappointed for choosing what appeared to be a great place to live.
