Plusses and minuses

Parking: I have never had a problem with parking and neither have my roommates. We are always able to find a spot near our building.
Noise: We live poolside, so I was worried. During the day sometimes you hear kids playing, but otherwise, it's pretty quiet.
Grounds: This is a beautiful property and very well maintained. The last comment said that they removed doggie waste stations, but I find that there are plenty. There are 2 within 100 ft of my door. Also, I have commented several times that I thought there would be more poo left around, but I think either people clean it up themselves or else there is a maintenance worker who does it.
Safety: Just before we moved here, there was a murder done because someone followed someone in the gate, but it seems that since the incident, security has been at the gate constantly so that there is no chance of tailgating someone in. Beyond that, the arm has been reconfigured so that if someone tries to follow you in, it comes down on their car. We've seen in happen twice in two weeks. Once this broke the arm, but since there is security, I don't really think it's a problem, now. Also, since the incident, management sent out a notice that they were looking into getting security cameras. It's too bad that we had to wait for something like this to happen to get them, but I am glad that management has recognized this problem.
Construction: Every thing is built very beautifully, and we've had no problems with anything breaking.
Maintenance: Came in the day after we called to remove the rental unit's washer and dryer and installed ours which entailed changing the plug on the dryer. They were very nice and fixed or replaced everything that wasn't working (a few light bulbs and a set of mini blinds)
Staff: We had a problem with move in because the guy that was our leasing agent got in a wreck, so we called to confirm about 2 weeks before move in and were told that we had to make time to sign the lease before move in not ON the date as we had planned. This was frustrating because we all work. We were also told that we couldn't sign the lease on move in day (Saturday) as we had been told we could because Saturday was their biggest day and they didn't have enough people working...Seems like a "DUH" to me: If Saturday is your biggest day, get more people working then. At any rate, we did NOT get to sign our lease on Saturday, but we found another time. However, management was very nice and polite throughout the ordeal.
Overall, this property is a great value. I live with 2 roommates and we each pay about $535 a month for everything (rent, utilities, electricity, internet, cable, phone). I am a student, and last year I paid $6000 for on campus apartments and that was just for 9 months! I love the look of the place, and so far, I am very happy here. I will keep everyone updated as my stay goes on!
