Stone Ridge at Vinings

You can take my Story to the Bank From: MissPeachy Date posted: 1/3/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   I'll try to be as objective as possible in telling my experience. I'll begin by saying that I am a model resident. Pay rent on time (never once late); never a noise complaint, clean & quiet. I moved here 5/04 for a quiet, clean and safe apartment in the Smyrna Vinings area. Yes, the rent is cheap, but not that much cheaper than other area properties. I now wish I had paid $25-50 more elsewhere to save myself all the drama. I have had 2 apartment floods due to faulty/outdated plumbing; a sewer rat in my apartment; and a robbery to occur since then. Now, the latter is important because it occurred at a time when their were alot of maintentance personnel coming and going due to the last flood and the rat. I have met almost all of the staff, and they all seem to be decent people. But there were no signs of forced entry (noted in a police report filed 12/26) and the individual had a key because they were nice enough to lock the door after stealing my stereo, vaccuum cleaner, iron, cookware set, and other valuables. Of course I cannot prove who did it, so I will not point any fingers. Management here is responsive, yes. But they kinda sweep the dirt under the rug. They tend to spend more time trying to convince you that things here aren't so bad instead of rectifying the problem. Oh, and today took the cake. I went to a very well-known apartment hunting service in the area. I mentioned that I now live in Stoneridge and was looking to move. The consultant at the apartment hunting service told me that she was very familiar with residents of Stoneridge with other horror stories. They are the Ugly side of Vinings.
