I have lived at Stone Ridge for about 7 months now. The only positive things that I can say about it are that the floorplans are really big (especially the roommate style), the management is friendly, and that's about it. My biggest complaint to date with Stone Ridge is the major lack of communication between the management and the residents. From day one, when my apartment wasn't ready after I was told several times that it would be ready that day, to all of the maintenence issues that I have reported and heard nothig else about, except maybe a note saying "the condition was observed and will be reported to the office," there have been endless issues that I wouldn't complain about if they would just let me know what's going on. Also, I am really tired of hearing the excuses "we are short-handed in the maintenence department" and "you have to understand, these apartments are over 30 years old!" The icing on the cake is that I actually referred this apartment to a friend...a week after he moved in, he was out of town and came back to a major plumbing flood. It was really bad, and needless to say, I was extremely embarrassed to have been the one who suggested that he live here. Almost not worth the $500 referral bonus!
