I have been in for 7 months now. I was looking for something cheap, close, and moderatetly safe. I feel I got exactly that. I have been pleased with the management, although I find maintenance somewhat lacking on timeliness.
I do not use the amenitities, so I cannot speak to that, but I can say that my only real complaint is that I have a faint mildew smell in my apartment. Since I have a basement level studio with a poor view, I figure that other buildings and apartments here must be better. I know the studio right across from mine is a little nicer as it is the one I saw when I moved in.
As I am on a tight budget, I had somewhat lower standards and expectations than if I was wanting one of the $750 studios from nearby newer places.
Would I reccomend it' If you are an IT consultant (like me) looking for something close and cheap, yes. If you are looking to plant your family here, no, not if you can afford better. If you are a single starting out or plan on this being temporary, best advice is to figure out what you really want, what you can afford, and see the actual unit before you move in. Do not go by what the floorplan looks like or seeing a unit 'just like it'. See the actual one you will lease, before you sign.
