I lived at Lenox Pointe for over 2 years (before it became the Brookhaven) and I really loved it. Having lived in other apartment communities around Atlanta in the past, I knew to take good care of my unit because I really wanted to ensure that I could get my deposit back upon moving out of Lenox Pointe.
Once the building was sold and the conversion to condos began, I started hearing rumors that residents who were moving out were not getting their deposits back, even though their unit was in good shape and would be gutted for the renovation. There was even a meeting amongst residents about seeking legal representation.
By the time I moved out, nothing had been resolved, long time residents (including elderly people) were leaving and we were ALL cheated out of our deposit money.
Despite the fact that I enjoyed my residency in the building when it was Lenox Pointe Apartments and I briefly considered buying a condo, I left feeling disgusted with how everything went down- that people who took good care of their units were cheated.
