I posted a while back when I first moved in. So it's update time. Overall, it's been ok, no major problems. The maintenance people are nice and have fixed the few things I request them to. The grounds are well-maintained and the facilities are overall very nice. There can be a bug problem (especially if you live on the ground floor) but it's an APARTMENT people. Not a luxury condo or townhome, so that's to be expected. No giant roaches, just ants every once in a while and some wierd centipede looking bugs. But you know what they say about living in an apartment-"You're only as clean as your neighbor." It's true. Overall, still not bad. Wouldn't want to live here forever. I wonder if they'll raise my rent when I resign my lease' Anybody with experience on that'
Couple things I would like to vent about. We are going to start looking for a house and wanted to do a shorter lease--prices are insane to do it. I think it's like 25 extra for 9-11 months, 65 for 6-8, 95 for 3-5 and 125 after that. Anyway, whatever, we're going to do the nine.
If you read nothing else from these ramblings, please read this next part (I hope management reads it too). One of the reasons I moved into this complex was that it was a gated complex. The gates do tend to be broken a lot. Understandable, they get a lot of use and are probably old. But it seems like every month I see someone's car with a smashed in window. It seems to come around periodically, so obviously someone hits the place then waits a while and does it again. Directly afterwards the cops seems to keep an eye on the place for a while then that fades away. Could we please hire a nighttime courtesy guard or something' For god's sake, I'll pay an extra 5-10 dollars a month (and I'm sure others would too) to have so big dude ride around in a golf cart with a maglight. That would eliminate the crime! Or we could just put some CC tv cameras at the gates...I don't know, I'm just tired of making sure I have everything off my seats and out of sight before I go inside for the night and having to make sure I park under streetlights. How much does a rent a cop cost!'!'!'!
