I'm going into my 3rd year at AMLI and my rent just increased dramatically (but still below market rate) so I'm transferring to a smaller apartment. I have researched EVERY complex in Atlanta and I know you will not find a less expensive, safer, more conveniently located place in Atlanta. Not to mention a place where I can have my extra large dog. The average apartment rate in Atlanta for a one bedroom is $875. Every complex in Atlanta, including the ones with granite counter tops, has it's problems. Guess what people, your living in an apartment. There will be noise, there will be break-ins and there will be maintenance problems. If you want the granite counter tops and the stainless steel appliances then go ahead and spend $1000 on a one bedroom. It seems that people on these sites always focus on the negative, these are probably the same people who don't scoop their dogs feces. The maintenance staff here is always friendly and helpful and J in the office is always available when I need her. I would absolutely recommend this complex to any and everyone.

You have got to be kidding me. I am sure this person works in the office and are just trying to raise the review ratings.

I agree this apartment complex is the WORST. Being that this reviewer sounds like they've only lived in one complex, it seems to me their review has no substance. YES every apartment has it's issues but I've never lived on the third floor and heard EVERYTHING the person below me was doing. I admit the price I pay for rent being so close to downtown is great, and maintenance and 'J' are awesome but everything else about this complex sucks. I don't need granite countertops but I do need appliances that work!!! The gate is always broken or stays open long enough for 4 cars to drive through and still yield to the speed bump. There is a hole in the fence dividing the two complexes where questionable people travel through. Recently AMLI hired new maintenance who drives around in his car on the wrong side of the road and expects you to move and yield for him...hello!! I seriously don't understand what this reviewer was thinking when he/she wrote that.

NO I don't work in the office and NO this is not the only complex I've ever lived in. WHAT I was thinking when I wrote the review was based on my living here almost 3 years and my experience in researching other complexes. Now I could move on the other side of 85, into a much newer complex, pay $800 and not have my large dog because of their 35 lb. weight limit. Before moving to AMLI, I checked into a much newer (and nicer) complex, the rent was decent, but they wanted a $1500 pet deposit. Yes I do agree the gate is "often" broken and so much for one car at a time. So I guess we'll just agree to disagree, until I can get my dream condo, I'll probably just stay where I am.

AMLI is definitely a convenient location and the price isn't bad at all. However, I have a serious roach problem and I an NOT a nasty housekeeper. Joy didn't believe me when I told her the critters are taking over my apartment until recently. I have been sprayed every week but that spray doesn't work. Well guess what, the roach problem was discovered, the building is infested!!!!!! It's a shame that no one seems interested in taking care of the issue. I would not recommend AMIL to my worse enemy if they have to deal with poor plumbing and roaches taking over. Pay a little more and move to a roach and clog free environment.

I'm checking out places to live and was reading reviews on here. Quite frankly I think it is very tacky that a staff member is running their mouth on here. If that wasn't a staff person that put the last write up on 07/19/08 that means that a staff member was running their mouth about another tenant. A roach problem is not something to mess with not to mention it's disgusting. Now knowing what I have learned on this review I won't even be looking at this place and not because someone was bitching about a maintenance problem, but because the staff is that unprofessional.
