These people are jokes. I also was fooled by the clean model. The week we moved in, maintenance was there within an hour of us calling.(This has since changed) The cabinets were disgusting, I didn't even unpack my dishes, pots, pans or anything that went into the kitchen. So needless to say we filled our dining room with boxes, and of course couldnt cook, no dining room table. This was a real downer when our family came for Thanksgiving, but they were SUPPOSED to come the week after so we promised better eating arrangements for Christmas. Well noone showed up on the date to install the new cabinets. There was new management and they said they had no record of it. And they would have to come and check AGAIN to see if we really needed it. Noone showed up for that either. Stayed home all day. Well this where Terry comes into the picture. HE is rude, insulting and overall a horrible person to talk to. Literally yelled at me on the phone (raised voice in all) when I asked him when they would be there. Told me I was pretty much an idiot that TerrI(the girl) had already discussed this. I asked him to lower his voice and not to talk to me like that. He talked over and yelled louder. I hung up. They came weeks later and replaced half of them. The worst ones. We figured that was all we were getting...Well then the rain came...Carpet was SOAKED in all the rooms. they replaced the foam (very thin foam) under the carpet. When they carpet came out. The boards were rotted, and disgusting. These WERE NOT replaced. We have fiestas in the apartments above us (we are the lowest level) We came back there was about 10 broken beer bottles, christmas ornaments, full beers all over our patio. We were so fed up that we just swept it out onto the grounds. Well they came weeks later to blow the leaves they put it all back on our patio. Our gas utilities are thru the roof, with windows, walls, floors at the baseboard you can FEEL Air. It is time for a complete makeover at this place. rebuilding to the employees. Please leave Terry (the girl) can ALL the rest. As I speak I am searching thru the lease to find a way out of this dump.
Sincerely, VERY DISAPPOINTED

I am the property manager for The Magnolia @ Sandy Springs and would like to respond to the comments listed in the email named "Horrible".
The Magnolia @ Sandy Springs is a beautiful community that was built in 1979. One of our primary goals is to provide our customers with excellent service, and a quality product at a great value. I feel we do just that!
I am aware of the complaint listed in this email, and would like to respond by stating that this resident moved in on 9/24/05. At the time of move-in, the m-in inspection sheet given to the office stated that there appeared to be an issue with the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. In addition to the cabinets, the screen door to the patio would not open properly. A work order was written to perform the items listed. We completed the work order to adjust the patio door the same day the work order was written. We scheduled our service director to take a look at the cabinets, and then scheduled several of them to be replaced at the resident's request. The resident was informed that it would take a minimum of 4 weeks for the outside contractor to install them, possibly 6 weeks, as they were being custom made for the kitchen. We spoke at one point where the resident told me that they were planning to have family over for Christmas. I told the resident that I would make a call to the cabinet company to see if we could speed up the process. The cabinet company was able to get them installed on 12/21/05 as a favor to us for the resident. The resident called agian requesting that the upper cabinets in the kitchen also replaced, as they did not match the new lower cabinets. We agreed to do this for cosmetic reasons, and to make the resident happy, as this was a large expense for the property.
Overall, we have replaced a refrigerator, replaced all bottom cabinets in the kitchen, all bathroom cabinets, resurfaced all of the kithcen and bathroom countertops, and are presently in the process of sealing and replacing the fronts of the upper set of kitchen cabinets.
The response to the note regarding the leak in all of the rooms, we were notified around 4 pm, and we responded by 5 pm. The carpet company was called to extract the water, and remove, and replace pad. The service director also repaired the gutter that caused the leak to take place.
We understand that residents will have issues from time to time, and that we are here as their management team for them. We feel that we have responded to each of this residents concerns to the best of our ability, and in a professional manner. It may not have been as quick as the resident may have liked for the cabinets, However, we are sometimes at the mercy of outside contractors which was the case in this situation.
We will continue to strive to make the living experience at The Magnolia an excellent one. We hope to do the same with this resident, as this is our goal!
