Nice Price & Locationg, Bad Roaches & Management Team

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
Before I start writing my comment, I have to say that I'm totally agree with the review on 10/12/2004 "Just Read." The rental price is cheap and the location is nice.
However, there are too many roaches in this apartment, and in fact I just killed about 20 of them today when I found them gathering on the wall behind my microwave (what's a nightmare!).
The other problem is the office staff, whom at first I thought was really nice but now I don't think so. Although I don't want to make assumption that all of them are bad, I unfortunately got to meet most of the bad ones. I have just moved in like a month ago, and my name was not on the phone box, which is located in front of the gate. When my friends came over I had to get out and walked all the way to the gate to use my access card to open the gate for them. In fact, if my name was on the phone box, my friends can just call me from the gate and I can open the gate using my phone.
Anyway, I have constantly informed the office staff for like a month. Until today I got to meet the same guy who earlier promised me that he would take care the problem, and I asked him why it had not been fixed. He just answered ignorantly that there's problem with the gate's phone box and he called the gate company to fixed it. Then I asked him when will it be fixed, and his answer was "I don't know." Then he just ignored me and worked on something else.
So, I was pissed because I had informed the office staff constantly for a month about the problem and they never told me anything. Moreover,if I did not meet the same guy today I might have to make multiple visits to the office over and over again (sigh!!). And now I still don't know when will it be fixed but one thing for sure if it's not fixed I'll contact the upper management.
The other problem I had is also with the same office staff when one day I went to pick up my parcel at the office and he saw that I was waiting to get help, then there was a couple new tenants came in after me to sign the leasing form. The office guy just ignored me and helped the new tenants leaving me and another office lady (who at that time was busy helping other tenants) wondered why he did not help me first. I was mad because I just came to pick up my parcel, which he could just go get it and give it to me, so I can leave. Nevertheless, he chose to help the new tenants who came after me and had me waited to get help from other staff (how's rude!).
Alright, that's pretty much my bad experienced story and if you wonder who was the office guy I'm talking about then you might want to move in this apartment and find it yourself. Another thought for you to think before you moved into this apartment is due to the fact that this whole apartment is really old, some of the outlets (e.g. cable, telephone, electric outlets) may not work. My cable outlet in the living room didn't work so I had to run cable from a splitter from the bedroom all the way to the living room. Althought I can watch TV now, some of the channels are fuzzy and the comcast guy said he could not do anything unless the office allowed them to rewire the cable, which is nearly impossible. Moreover, my apartments had 2 telephone outlet, but only one of them is working and it's working very poorly, so I am now using only my cellphone. Alright, I don't want to say anything anymore, so have fun looking for apartment
