New management = new problems

I have lived at the Stratford Apartments at 5479 Glenridge Drive for 2 years. I moved here for the convenience and amenities that this complex had to offer. While the former company owned it, there were a few problems; however, the staff always attended to whatever need arose.
Now, since the new owners, The Connor Group, have taken over, everything is falling apart.
The office staff has been reduced to two people, whom never seem to be around. Every time you go to the office the doors are locked and there is a sign stating they will return at a certain time, which they never do.
The entry gate to the complex has been left in the open position several times allowing anyone to come in, even at night. When I mentioned this to Maria at the office, she said, "Oh! We're not here at that hour, so we have no control over that."
The gate to the underground parking garage has been open for some time now. Supposedly it doesn't meet up with standards. Why now all of a sudden does the gate not meet standards' Because it's not working properly'
Oh! And did I mention we no longer have a security officer on the grounds'
We no longer have a complimentary continental breakfast or laundry service during the week. Maria said, "We gave it a try a couple of days and no one came." When I asked what hours they tried, she said between 10am and 12noon. That is AFTER most people have already left for work! Right'
The pool and hot tub mysteriously stopped working as soon as The Connor Group took over and neither has worked or been open since.
The trash is now being picked up by a random guy from Winder, near Athens, who then has been asked to dig through the bags left outside of the normal pickup hours to find personal information so charges may be sent to those not following the rules. Sounds like identity theft waiting to happen.
The common areas and the grounds have remained uncared for.
I could go on and on. Bottom line. It is not worth the stress to move here.

I have been here for almost 2 years as well, and I agree with what you are saying. I was thinking about moving, and they definitely made up my mind. It has really gone down hill since the take-over, and all the convenient services have disappeared making this place way overpriced for what you get. The things that separated them from other apartments were removed, so why bother sticking around? I can find something just as nice for cheaper. The apartments were OK, but I've been in better.
