Sad But True

Sad but true - you can take the trash out of the ghetto, but you never will get the ghetto out of the trash! Another "truth" is that some of us - the old timers - long-term residents at The Stratford, would love to not move. It is hard to stomach the "Free Rent" signs and even harder to live with the demise of our once beautiful community. I think Avril is trying to do a better job. I'm not denying anything that has been previously written - sad but true -- everything others have written is really true. What Avril doesn't realize is that the "Free Rent" signs and the "One Bedroom Blowout" signs only attract the type of residents who are trifling and trashy and not accustomed to obeying rules. They put their trash on the sidewalk AFTER the trash pick-up has already occurred, and they stuff trash in the dog poop recepticles. Just because someone can come up with whatever the move-in fee is doesn't mean they are the kind of residents who are a compliment to the community. If I were looking for an apartment home today I would run away from any community that advertised FREE RENT. So - believe it or not Avril - your FREE RENT signs are a detriment and will turn our neighborhood into a money-losing property for the Conner Group in 12 months or less. Trite, but true - you can take the trash out of the ghetto - but you'll never get the ghetto out of the trash. The trash on the streets of The Stratford is proof that you've certainly moved trash oriented, non-committed people into The Stratford. Our only hope is that when they miss their rent payments (and miss it they will - as soon as the FREE RENT period runs out), you'll have the balls to move their butts out of here.
