I've lived at Townview for a very long time because of its location and low application standards (I'm a student so I don't make 3x the rent amount like other places ask for, and I have no credit history). There were many things that got me to FINALLY leave.
First off management changes EVERY month. Whoever you delivered your rent check to on the first month is not the same person on the next. If you have a problem in your apartment, you call to schedule maintenance and when he inevitably doesn't show up, you call the office to find its a new person who doesn't know what your talking about and hasn't heard anything about any "maintenance call" that the other lady supposedly scheduled for you. Its *really* infuriating. In my case, there was a dead animal in the ceiling of my bedroom, and the smell was so bad I slept out in the living room for several days. I called every day to get a maintenance guy there and they said he would show up IN A WEEK. A week went by, no one showed up. By day 10 the smell faded on its own.
Other problems are security. For one, my car did get stolen but I knew that was a risk. It's Atlanta, there's no gate, no cameras, no nothing. I'd also recommend shredding documents as there are hobos that sift through the trash.
Towards the end of my stay, the power went out in my apartment for 2 days. I called Georgia Power and they swore it wasn't them. Which meant I had to wrestle with maintenance again. >:[ I called every hour, no response. Finally, someone showed up, only to tell me he couldn't work on it because there were tags on the meters and he wasn't allowed to touch them. I called Georgia Power and THEY send someone out to fix TOWNVIEWS mistake. It turns out, the system is so old and busted that the wires inside the breakers had melted, and if we had turned on appliances our apartment would have caught fire. We also had outrageous power bills because of the poor wiring.
For the price, there are many better options around Atlanta. If you *need* that location, or absolutely can't get accepted somewhere else, go for it. Otherwise be prepared for a looooot of headaches. You *will* need to call maintenance because the place is breaking down, so take it into consideration.

I was there for the two day outage. IT WAS ALL TOWNVIEW'S FAULT!! And, all they offered was to pay for the groceries that went bad. Oh, but only if you had your receipt. Did I mention the 20 people who had no power called the maintainance staff at least 5 times (that is 100 calls)
