My fiancee and I moved into a Uptown Buckhead apartment about nine months ago and the only reason we are still there is the fact we found out that we'd be slapped with over a $2,000 bill if we tried. Good credit get's you the first month free, which is great until you move in and you realize the quality level of the apartment. Here's a partial list of some problems that have occured... our air conditioning had trouble not freezing over and quiting many a time, our washer and dryer break down at least one a month (they are not new appliances like they say), our garbage disposal had problems, our kitchen sink has a leak that I guess can't be fixed, the cabinet in the bathroom broke and so did four in the kitchen. We've put in requests to have them fixed but after a week or so of no reponses you learn to fix things yourselves. If you have pets this is definitely not a safe place for them, well unless you like them finding nails outside and chewing on them. I found over 23 nails in just one week, which is due to the fact of the workers they hire. The men just yell at you in Spanish like you are a piece of meat, and they do a very poor job constructing the apartments. It is obvious bue to all the problems they just throw them up and the quality is thrown out the door. All though everything previous sounds horrible the worst thing happened when I was walking up to the mailbox - I was very crudely solicited by a customer of one of the local drug dealers. My fiancee quickly called to report it and speak to the manager - he called three times that week and NO ONE ever got back to him. If you haven't gotten the hint - DON'T MOVE IN HERE... pay the other $200 a month and go to Post down the road!
