Wonderful place. Terrible Management.

I still love the location and look of Uptown Square. I also love the floor plan that I have. My bedroom and bathroom and very large and I also enjoy the large balcony that looks onto the pool. However, I too have been VERY disappointed with the management of the place and the lack of quality in the construction of the building. The walls are very, very thin. I can hear when my neighbors upstairs vacuum, use the bathroom, and other bedroom activities (seriously). The noise in the pool area is to be expected, especially since it is a very echo-y courtyard. I do think that the pool is very nice and a great size. Sadly, the grill at the pool has been out of propane for 3 weeks, this is very bad timing considering it is prime grilling season. The call box at the front of the building has not been working for 2 mos, which means I have to take an elevator to let any guests in the builing. People do leave a lot of trash in the stairwells and a couple of the stairwell doors have broken hinges. When I first moved in, I also was not given any information such as the mailbox number, location of the trash chute, etc. I also was told that they were not allowed to give me a map of the complex. My key card did not work in the parking deck for the first 4 days, so I wait to wait outside the door until someone walked out so that I could enter the building. When this problem was brought to the attention of the leasing office, they did not apologize and they said that there was nothing they could do at the moment. I have had some problems in my actual apartment, but this is to be expected in a brand new place. All of these issues were resolved within 2 days.
