The nicest thing about living here is the area, you can walk up and down the street, kind of like atlantic station, its steps away from MARTA, and is convenient to the highway, oh and it looks nice on the outside. Besides that its all downhill from there. I cant wait til summer when my lease is over. Lets talk about what you hear: You can hear toilets flushing, showers running, vacuums, etc. construction right outside your window (depending on if you're one of the hundred people staying on that side) starting at 7am everyday except sunday is the worst. I'm contemplating breaking my lease simply because of that. Hearing the train all times of the day and night: both the MARTA and the actual train. There is a business center with a computer, but the internet doesnt work. There is a club room that is suppose to have wireless, along with the business room, which doesnt ever work. If i would have known that I wouldnt ever have moved here. The trash piles up outside the door of the trash shoot. The call box in the parking garage of the main building does NOT work so if you have guest coming to visit you have to walk all the way to the parking garage to get them, always. Key cards sometimes don't work. Call boxes sometimes dont work. When i first moved in, they didnt even clean my apt. It had cobb webs and spiders and the floors were dirty and they complained about cleaning it after waiting days for them to do a half job. Fire alarms go off inside the apartment occasionally just because. The door in the main building parking garage never stays shut, so much for safety. I've had friends knock on my door, I'd ask how they got in, and they'd say "the door in the garage was open". The security gate in the parking garage doesnt work also. It just stays up, so anyone whos in the area can park in there. The management is horrible, but somehow they have a plaque in the office for best management. Please dont believe it, they probably made it themselves. Basically it doesnt live up to the hype of "upscale" living. It is overpriced and not worth it. You'd be better off living outside on the bench by the MARTA station.

Public Message... If you work for Uptown, are an investor of the property, or work at Lane HQ... Please lower the rents. I cant say that enough and I'll probably post that on EVERY review here... but the PRICE IS NUTS! I must say... if you sign a lease here, you are being completely taken for a ride. It's almost SCAM worthy, how much they charge for these jokers. *shrugs* I'll be leaving... probably buying a house. IT'LL BE CHEAPER TOO!

I read your review and it seems EXACTLY what happened to me! I got scammed out of like $450 bucks for my roommate being late on her half of the rent. I'm the top floor facing MARTA so I hear the trains, buses, trantracks AND construction. I'm moving out a month before my lease is up just cause I really can't stand it one more day! Oh..and Lane does NOT know how to take care of their tenants. They always tell me to 'deal with it' when I have a complaint. So far, my garbage disposal, drier and patio door DON'T WORK! Take heed to all these warnings and don't move here if you're thinkin bout it!
