I moved to Uptown Square in January 2007 after reading the (1) good review which was at that time posted. I have since come to believe that it was posted by someone in the management office as there is NO WAY anyone living here could be so happy. Yes, it's a good location. Yes, there's easy access to MARTA. But it's also unkept, loud, and a tremendous disappointment on so many levels.
The people in the office are unhelpful at best, bordering on rude. The maitenance guys are downright surly and generally ineffective. The rent is EXORBITANT once you go to renew your lease. I had to renew for six months due to some matters out of my control, but have been eagerly awaiting my move to another place.
Now that I take time to read these other reviews of people being charged made-up fees after the terminations of their lease I am very worried. I've had some minor things fixed and all in all the place is in good shape except for the carpet which has many small stains on it. Who puts white carpet in a rental unit' Anyway, now I'm afraid they're going to try to ruin my credit by charging me to have the carpet replaced. I will have it shampooed before I move, but what else can I do to protect myself from thes uptown vultures'
I should never have moved here!!! Help!!!!!!!!

I've never seen an apartment that doesn't have some form of white/beige carpet. The important thing is to make sure you walk the unit with them. Do not let them tell you "it'll be ok" and walk it themselves. Demand a copy of the report before you turn in your keys so there are no surprises. Credit is only ruined when one is ignorant. If you get all of the facts up front rather than waiting for them to "hunt you down" you'll be fine. Believe it or not I am happy with where I live. Sure the staff has seen better days but my unit is quiet (aside from Friday night when the bars let out) and I've had no major maintenance issues. I just renewed my lease without an increase.

Sounds like another management posted review. Not a single unit in this apartment is quiet. Not even the halls!
