I have lived here for a year now and plan to renew my lease. I do not understand all the complaints or where they come from. Of course I live in building 2, which does not have all the college kids in it. My apt is very quiet, no noise, no trash in the halls, very well insulated (total electric) with a power bill no higher than $72.00.
I do understand in building 1 there is a lot of coming and going as the college kids want to live around the pool.
The office staff is always pleasant, nice and concerned in what I have to say. Of course when renting, your not going to get all your concerns paved with gold. I think a lot of the complaints listed here are from the unhappy college students that don't always get their way when it comes to the loud noise, music playing loud disturbing all, car radios blasing down the street. All of that is controlled. Of course with all the restaurants and bars surrounding Uptown Square you are going to have your occasional loud mouth drunk walking home to his apt. Over all, I give Uptown Square 4 stars. Location is the key to living in this complex, and all should discuss that with the office before moving in as I did. For the price, including all black appliances and a washer and dryer, its one of the best deals in town, especially being right on top of MARTA Lindbergh. I know, I shopped around for 3 months before I moved in.
