Veranda on the River

I lived at the Veranda from 2002-2003. The apartment was full of bugs and the heating unit was always broken. The maintenance people would respond and come to fix it but it never worked properly and I had a three year old who was constantly cold. Thus I was paying for two bedrooms, but utilizing only one because we slept together to stay warm. The front security gate was ALWAYS broken and there was a massive turnover of people who worked in the management office. I moved out prematurely and had to pay the fees for breaking my lease (which I didn't mind). However, they tacked on $300.00 in additional fees which were bogus. They never responded to my request for proof of why the fees were owed. I was told I would receive pictures of carpet stains, which I never did...

I am the former manager of Veranda, and I know exactly who wrote this comment...initials L.H. You know exactly what kind of pig stye you lived in..did you really need pics to prove it? I should have called DFACS on you. And you did not break your lease, you skipped out in the middle of the night...let's not play games.
