Moderate housing beware of rats

I lived in the Veranda Apartments for about 2 and a half years. There are ups and downs. The apartments are spacious for a reasonable price. But they are getting older. The A/C was not cooling well especially when we had 4 or more guests. After some time, the A/C started to leak water. We had rats visiting us from behind the stove and the leasing office was not able find a complete solution to that. I killed one myself and did not like it. I even tried to put a device that emits high frequency sound signals but after some time, they adapt to it and came again. The pest control came and put poison, they ate it but they kept coming. The maintenance is slow sometimes it takes days or more than a week for them to come. The leasing office does not respond to the calls especially when I leave a voice mail. I always had to call them back. My unit was J9. Once my CD player is stolen from my car too. It costed me $100 to repair the little triangual window on my car. The gates are usually open. Once this happenede, I always carried the head unit of my CD player to home with me. The noise isolation is good in the horizontal direction but it's not good in the vertical direction.
