Don't do it to yourself!

I wouldn't move there. The unit I had had a nice layout but I could smell and hear everything that my neighbors did. My A/C leaked into the lower apartment on more than one occasion and soaked my carpet. This happened mid summer and they asked me to turn my unit off! Then they left a fan on for days to dry the drenched carpet that ran my electric bill up an additional 40 dollars for the month. Had to leave it on because the A/C continued to leak! When it turned into Columns at Akers Mill they started letting less than honorable people start living in the complex that were sitting on the stoops when I left for work in the morning and were still sitting there when I came home during the evening. The gate didn't work and robberies increased. The neighbors fought in the hall and one neighbor had an intolerable dog that I simply wanted to kick like a football. The tried to charge me an excessive amount of money for them to simply have to do the normal cleaning after a move. The blonde bimbo was very rude. (the manager) Overall, I wouldn't move into that apartment complex. Everyone that I know who lived there are running for cover now. By the way, parking was horrible. If you didn't make it home by 6:30 you had to park what seemed like a mile away from your building. It was very comforting since people were stealing the rims off of cars and breaking into them. I don't know how I slept through all that worrying!

I just moved in January and am having the same trouble with the ridiculous amount of money they are trying to charge me after having lived there 4 years. How were you able to resolve it?
