My husband and I have been here for two and a half years. There are definitely good things about this place. We love the walking trail down to the river. There is a small but adequate fitness room that is good enough for us since we're not work-outaholics. There is wi-fi and comfy couches that we don't use but other people seem to enjoy them. The swimming pools are pretty well maintained. We've had positive experiences with getting most things fixed. The complex is conveniently located to 75/285, groceries, movie theater, mall. Turning left out of here in the morning is pretty hassle-free. Parking where we are is never an issue, but I can see how it is a problem near other buildings. In my building, I rarely hear my neighbors and I can only smell them from the hallway...

There are also things we're not crazy about of course. So far we have chosen to not buy or rent a washer/dryer, which means we use one of the two laundry rooms in the complex. The machines have eaten a lot of our quarters, I don't think they have ever attempted to mop the floor or wipe down the counters or machines, and in the summer there are always bugs all over. We have a patio but never use it because the spiders make webs too fast and it's not terribly private where we're located (the balconies above might not be too bad though). Our AC is quirky. They have recharged it several times but it probably has parts that just need to be replaced. The bugs are definitely annoying. I wouldn't say we're infested but we kill 2 or 3 silverfish type things each week in the summer. We've had 5 or 6 roaches in the 2 years here.

We're toying with the idea of moving somewhere nicer, but it's not like I'm crying at the thought of being here another 2 years. It's good enough for the price (just under $800 for 2 BR 1.5 bath).
