Me and my roomate needed a place that was decently close to tech and state with a good price. After visiting gateway apartments (whewie do NOT live there) we decided we needed something....a little safer. So while we were checking out apartments we noticed castleberry but we were going strictly on apartmentratings.com and really didnt give it much thought since almost every review of this place was negative.....we saw the place saw the price and....well you read reviews like "do not be fooled by looks" "if you move here you are stupid i told you so" so we had to think something was up. The apartment manager kingsley is the man, best guy ever helped us out with everything and even though at first we were kinda hesitant we decided to go with it because as far as we could see there wasnt anything that bad. ive read every review on here, and although every review has some little basis (such as kids or railroad tracks) none were unbearable if noticable at all. and im serious. i complain...alot. Kids are sometimes loud they wake me up sat. morning....if your on the side with the train id imagine thatd be loud. as for safety. I was scared when i first moved in, mostly for my car, but there are alot of nice cars, i have on several occasions left my car unlocked on accident with my ipod and 400 dollar gps showing and nothing has been taken. neighbors are courteous, people are very professional, and its perfect for college students. i am extremely happy i moved here. Thats what I felt too when I first moved here until my car was stolen twice with a six week period this summer. I asked to be let out of my lease and they would not even extend me that courtesy. Please do not be naive, do not leave ANYTHING in your car. My car ended up with almost $6,000 worth of damage and they did not offer one penny of compensation. The gates are ALWAYS open. Your safety is not their priority. They have been people carjacked by gunpoint and children snatched from these apartments and even a peeping tom caught. They will not put these things in the nice little letters they send out. If you choose to stay, please be careful, there are alot of suspicious people that walk around the complex to include crackheads and homeless. Please be careful.

The person who posted this review most work for castleberry and is trying to give a positive immage. I go to school in the area and all of my friends that have lived there all had negative things to say about it, and encouraged me not to stay there. almost all the times I've visited there to see a friend the security gate was broken and I had no problem driving right in. DONT DO IT!!!
