Get rid of Templae...or whatever her name is..

I have been at the Villages at carver for about 2-3 months and although I enjoy living there, Temple has not been a very cordial person. I acknowledge that a couple of months ago we had an incident where I lost my temper, since it took them more than a month to actually send somebody to my apartment to fix one of my appliances. However, I did call back and apologize to her about the way I carried myself on the phone. She seemed to be ok and accepted my apology or at least it felt that way. Well, my appliance broke again and I called about a month ago and left a voice message to let them know I am still waiting for them to at least call me back to let me know whether they received the message or not. Bottom line my appliance is still broken!
Now, I called again this week and talked to Temple about another problem and I told her who I was, she began to talk to me in an extremely condescending way. I mentioned to her that I have been in the complex for almost three months and still they have not added my name to the entrance box. Every time that I have a guest, I have to go to the front gate to let them in. Well, she seemed to be really bothered with my call.
I moved to the Villages at Carver because of location and because it is very close to my new place of employment. However, the way I am being treated by Temple has really made me regret my decision. Not only that, he constantly mentions that they are extremely busy, which is actually not my problem. I am a tenant and I pay for my rent. As such, I deserve to be treated as such. I avoid as much as I can calling them for anything, since I am concerned that they might retaliate or not help me just because of the fact that she seems to have a problem with me.

A co-worker recommended this site to help me in my apartment search...since I am strongly considering The Villages at Carver
the new phase, I decided to see what reviews were posted.
With great surprise, I saw this email and felt that I had to comment.
I have been visiting the leasing office since November with hopes of leasing one of your new apartments that are being built. More times then not, that office has been packed and the phone rings so much I don't how Temple gets anything done been the only leasing person that I've seen in the office.
The fact that the new apartments are still not ready and they never had floorplans for me to see, I still came back because of what I witnessed
everytime I visit with hopes of new infomation. Watching Temple answer the multitude of phone calls and still manage to give those that are patient all the information needed lets me know that "THIS IS THE PLACE THAT I WANT TO LIVE!" If she works that hard to make a difference, that's more than I can ask for in an office staff.
I hope that this person or any other who reads this sees what I sees....
your real problem sounds like a maintenance issue. You yourself stated
you gave the initial negative attitude and just maybe it's not the staff who needs to forgive you....Maybe you need to forgive yourself.
Just sometimes we need to put ourselves in someone else's shoes to see
if we could walk that same mile that person has chosen.
Signed,
Your new Neighbor!!!

You must work in that office and be posing as a new neighbor. That person is correct in the statement. I have never encountered such ghetto unprofessionalism. I pay my rent on time and have never been late. But if you try to ask them to do anything in the office you are cut off and they do it at their own pace. The maintenance guys are trifling they half do everything. Now do not take this as a down out assault on them. When I moved into this communtiy i had no idea what the old carver homes was. I think that they treat the people in the community that way is because there is a preconception that if they are not harsh they will have people come at them (the way they feel previous tenants of carver homes would be expected to). Because i am not employed in that industry it is hard to understand how and why maybe it is justifiable just as some officers have to act a cetain way in order to maintain order. So I take it as a grain of salt. Hopefully the remainder of your stay is as wonderful as your signing of the lease.

I would really like to meet this NICE and PROFESSIONAL Temple that these people are talking about, I have lived here for a little over a year and my car has been broken into twice, the gate is never working,it takes at least a week to get anything fixed and it's still not really fixed then, and Temple is so rude and fake. Maybe whoever the owner of this community is needs to get some white people in the office, maybe things will be a lot better.
