The apartments are relativeley new so they are very nice for the money. The crime rate is horrible 3 cars were stolen in one night, same row. The managment does nothing to secure the property. They also do not make you aware of the crime in the complex until something happens to YOU. The school district sucks. Management moves nonworking secton 8 tenants in. This is where the crime begans (due to babydaddies (drugdealers that are not on the lease) & multiple bad ass kids that throw rocks & pull down trees make all kinds of noise. Not a place for someone with kids unless you want them to be HOOD like the rest of the Section8 kids.

As a person with a Section 8 voucher living in this community, this persons opinion is not true. crime can happen anywhere, no one can keep anyone from it. and for your information you must be working to be on the Section 8 program unless you are disabled. Also you still must pass the application process, therefore your income must be 2 times the rent. I know for a fact beacuse my sister tried to move-in and was denied because she did not meet the income requirements. Just like throughout the Atlanta area over the past few years crime is on the rise everywhere!

I guess if I had someone paying a portion of my rent, I would not be able to see the forest for the trees. Yes crime does happen everywhere but there should be some communities notices. Also the overall area is sucks and crime does not run rampant everywhere. There is a hi concentration of crime in this Zone (Zone3). This is typical for lower income (ie section 8 voucher recipents, based on lower income) under educated area.

I have lived in this apartment complex for a few years now and can't say with certainty that the decline of the VOBM comples is due solely the Section 8 renters. I can however, factually say that: crime has increased since I moved in there are more loud/boisterous children playing outside(until all hours of the night)since I moved in there are more cars in the parking lot everyday during the daytime than when I first moved in the gate is often broken meaning ANYONE and EVERYONE can come inside the complex. Management does not do enough to maintain the security and safety of the complex or the residents.
