BEWARE.....

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005

When I moved into Vinings Peak in August 2004 to a couple dead bugs under the sinks and a water damaged bathroom counter. (I moved the bugs and the counter was never fixed). The apartment was never inspected and the entire stove, garbage disposal had to be replaced, smoke detector went off when the heat was turned on and had to be replaced. Weeks would go by with water in the sink.
- The pipes rattle when the water is turned on.
- The only reason my problems were fixed is because the maintainance man wanted to go out with me.
- I had some type of creature in my apartment leaving small droppings and chewing at boxes under my sink. Pest control is the only utility included so I expected maintainance to take care of the situation. They set mousetraps (using my peanut butter as bait) which the creature set off but was not caught in. They sealed the seams under my sink, and furnace by spraying a hardening foam which was all over my rug by the time they left. The rug was detroyed.
- I even had a raccoon wreaking havoc on my porch.
- When maintainance does repair, they dont clean up after themselves
- My move-in special wasn't processed properly and the next month I had a summons on my door for evasion of rent payment!
- Beware of the spiders, they build enormous webs outside your door.
- They charged me $529 for the apartment for signing the lease in July. I found out my next door neighbor was paying $470 for the same apartment and he signed in July as well, but his had a fireplace. WTF'''
-I had a creepy neighbor that looked through my peephole and knocked on my door in 15 minute increments.
- The leasing office may close at any given time for any given reason despite its 6 employees to hold down the fort. (They also have quite the revolving door when it comes to their staff)
- When you move out (like you inevitably will), make sure to ask for your deposit back, they will try to keep it.
