A few months ago, I wrote a review defending the Wood Lake as not a bad place. I read hideous reviews and didn't think they were accurate.
I WAS WRONG.
I havn't been evicted and am not a disgruntled employee or anything. Just a current resident wanting to post a warning.
I agree with a previous poster. Sometimes during business hours, no one picks up the phone, no answering machine, no nothing, despite the gaggle of employees in the office.
The people in the office are very kind but rather incompetent at their jobs in my opinion.
Maintenance complaints are "Entered into the Computer System." Apparently that system is "The Garbage Can," because you will have to call your maintenance requests in, oh, about 5 times before anyone lifts a finger. If infact they DO come service your appt and it is a two step maintenance, don't expect anyone to ever come back without you calling back 5 more times and threatening to withhold rent.
I EVEN FILED A COMPLAINT WITH AIMCO AND THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED FOR TWO WEEKS.
They are all idiots!
My A/C unit has flooded my closet and bedroom about 3 or 4 times. Each time maintenance won't get on it without aforementioned calling calling calling calling threatening to break lease, etc.
My upstairs neighbor's toilet overflowed a STREAM of water (woke me up it was so loud) into my bathroom via the ceiling fan TWICE and all they did was inform me that the leak stopped and, oh yeah, its DIRTY WATER!!!!!!!!!
The hot tub near the office has been condemned by Cobb Cty Health Dept.
They shut down one of the laundry facilities permanently with no explanation. When I asked if it was because it was condemned, I recieved no answer, only a frown from the leasing officer I was dealing with.
OH YEAH, and they never gave me a copy of my lease until I requested it 6 MOS into the lease.
PROSPECTIVE TENNANTS: The fireplace and free W/D may sound tempting, but DO NOT LEASE HERE. I WILL NOT renew! This place is truly awful. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
