There is a reason there are 61 reviews and none of them are good. In 1982 this was one sweet complex. Alas, its not 82 and now it looks a little like south central. You are first priority ONLY if you are NOT a resident. Aside from the fact that there is only 1 hot tub and 3 junky pools its not adequately lit and you will sometimes fear for your safety while leaving the gym (which barely has functioning equipment, reaks of mildew and always has broken windows.) Don't call for service, they will not come. Try to complain and you will be ignored. Try to leave and you will be charged $3000. BEWARE-they will fill your ear with empty promises...they told me they pay for water and that all those little quirks about my apartment would be fixed. Instead of cleaning they spray paint over mildew in the bathrooms. A young child pointed a gun at my dog. I pay $759 for a 2-1 in Lake, don't let them charge you more. If you can afford to pay about $200 more go to any Post apartment complex. There's one down the street. BTW, see that ghetto golf cart randomly parked when you went through on your tour' of course you did. its been there for months...

This is one the most accurate portrayls of my own experiences in Wood Lake-- it is simply unbeleivable. Usually, when one initially moves into a new apartment complex, the leasing office goes out of there way (or you expect them to) to make sure paper work is completed properly. They brag and bost about you picking out your paint for an accent wall or kitchen and bathroom wallpaper- then ignored my request and put up whatever they felt. When I confronted them about the wrong accent wall color and the wrong wallpaper in the bathroom-- they told me that I would have to pay! Unbeleivabe-- needless to say I contacted corporate office and threatend to cancel my lease-- I hadn't even moved in at that point. But-- that's when I knew I was in for it- and began to regret the decision to move to the woods. Once I moved in- it took them 3 weeks to complete the service requests- though I was promised it would be finished upon move-in. I had janitors tracking dirt throughout my apartment directly after it had been cleaned-- then they waisted paint on it and didn't even bother to mention it (as if I wouldn't notice) My toilet was stopped up for a week before they fixed it- my bath tub is currently stopped up and there are gaping holes in my bathroom wall (near the floor) -- ants are coming through!!! It is horrible! Don't move here!!! Parking isn't the best either. |
