My Experience

This has been my first apartment it really has been an interesting experience for the most part. When I first moved in things seemed nice, they put in new carpet, new washer and dryer, new fixtures, new paint, etc. The maintenance people responded for the most part in a timely manner. The leasing office service is the worst. They rarely follow up on complaints, they are unprofessional, they never answer the phone. There excuse was that they are short staffed but when I actually go up there everyone is walking around with the phones ringing off the hook. My lease is about to be up and I'm out of here ASAP.
My car has been hit in the parking lot so now I have this big dent on the side of my new car (haven't gotten it fixed yet). There is hardly any place to park at night. This last month I'm here my water is WHITE, they said there is nothing they can do about it because there is just air in the water. However, after doing some research you aren't supposed to drink ANY water or cook with it if there is an excess amount of O2 in it. It has been like this for a week and we had to buy bottle water just to do basic things. Mold is another issue I've dealt with in the past the only thing they did to fix it was spray bleach on where the mold was forming in my apartment. The ceiling was leaking (it stopped) in my laundry room a few months ago, nothing was done about it because they said, basically, that it wasn't a big deal and they were working on the apartment upstairs.
I've been here a year almost, I've yet to see any patrol around the area although they claimed that they do have officers that patrol. The price was a really good deal, but you get what you pay for. The only thing I like is the vinings area and it's close to every expressway. I knew this before I moved in, however, I didn't realize what a hassle that train would be. I was talking to another lady that lives in the gated community by the train tracks and she said it passes through 3 times EVERY hour. That's ridiculous, it's hell with traffic during 5 o'clock and the train backs up traffic both ways, sometimes until bp and until cumberland parkway. Although that really doesn't have any thing to do with the complex, just wanted to inform about the area. The apartment grounds are well kept except for the dog poo everywhere. The street to the complex (where they are building the condo's) is full of holes, so make sure you be careful coming down that hill. I rarely see kids unless they are coming home from school (isn't a bad thing at all). I do feel safe on my side of the complex though, I like that sense of security, but I still keep my guard up. My neighbors upstairs sound like a marching band in the morning, I don't know if they are trying to practice there routine step show or what, but it's really annoying when you want to sleep.
I think if you have a tight budget and want to live in the vinings and don't complain about anything to do with your apartment this is the apartment from you. If you can spare it, I think you should look elsewhere

Very well said. I'm glad you informed us about the white water. I thought it was very odd.
