You can do better, I regret EVERY day I wake up still living here =(

I've lived in 5 different college dormitories, 2 apartment complexes in FL, 3 here in GA. And I have NEVER EVER EVER had such a TERRIBLE living arrangement as I am finding with this hellhole. I feel duped, having been tricked by the pretty fireplace, vaulted ceilings, low rent, and the cute neighborhood. My husband and I regret the day we signed that lease.
1: MOLD AND BUG INFESTED - I went to school in the rural town of Gainesville, Florida, so I know living in the south, you're going to have to deal with some critters here and there. But this place is ridiculous, no one should have to deal with THIS type of infestation. They claim to spray every Friday, but I think they spray roach treats or something, because it doesn't keep them away. HUGE waterbug roaches in the apartments, along with silverfish, centipedes, and whatever other creeepy crawlers choose to call YOUR place home. Doesn't matter how much you clean, take out the trash, or disinfect, they're just the "complimentary pets" Woods provides you with. I complained to the office about the roaches. Their response' "Oh, we don't have roaches" Wow, guess those HUGE things crawling around my apartment are a figment of my imagination. I haven't had a personal problem with mold, but WAY too many of my neighbors have, and that is just unacceptable and very unhealthy.
2: TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT - They are nice enough people, but they are just here to collect a paycheck, not care about your needs. I am a sweet natured person, but this office has brought out the B&*$@ in me, I've found that they only respond to ANGER and DEMANDS, and that just should not be. It should not take me being at my WITS END over a problem before it gets addressed! Apartments are shared spaces, so things will inevitibly break, malfunction, need repair, etc, but as a resident, you deserve prompt, caring responses to your problems. My dryer did not work because the vent on the outside was clogged, I had to call 5 times to get them to fix it, (which they claimed to do...a lie, I'm sure), but never fixed it right! Eventually, I had appliance warehouse come and take the unit back, I now have to lug my laundry to my parents house to wash every few days. What was the office's excuse' "Well, it's not an emergency". Ok, let it be YOUR dirty clothes piling up, and see how much of an "emergency" it becomes then!! Also, my AC broke in the MIDDLE of AUGUST! Maintenance came by and claimed he could not fix it....why' "because it's Sunday"...what the hell kind of reason is that' I had to yell at the guy and explain that #1-It's hot & muggy and I have asthma, #2-we have a young infant in this house, and #3-on top of that, I am PREGNANT....so dammit, you are going to FIX the AC RIGHT NOW! Despite all that, he continued to be rude as he fixed it, like we were bothering him! I could go on and on about the problems we've had since moving here, but I won't even go there because I think you get the point....all I'm saying is.......
3- JUST TRUST US: I read these reviews all the time, people always complain "this place sucks, management sucks, don't move here, yada yada yada" and 9 times out of 10, you move there and find out that the place is just fine, at least in my experience that has always been the case, give me a roof over my head and I'm fairly easy to please. Not so much here...WOODS is that 1 in 10 instance where ALL of the negative reviews are correct, not exaggerated at all. The problems in this complex go beyond the normal kinks you'd find at any apartment. It's just awful here, I hate it and you will too. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to live. If my husband and I had money to burn like that, we'd pay the extra money to break our lease and LEAVE!
