The pluses for this place are:
(1) Responsive leasing staff, property manager and maintenance folks. They've gone out of their way to assist with every matter.
(2) Beautiful view of the Chattahoochee from my porch and only a 10-minute drive to work in Buckhead. That right there is heaven.
(3) Conveniently located to the cinema and all sorts of shopping areas.

The minuses are:
(1) The security gates, which are not only a farce in terms of security, but damned inconvenient even on a good day. This is especially true when one is left open and the others are closed. Make up your mind -- it's kind of like being "sorta pregnant", you either ARE or you ARENT'T. And believe me the gates add absolutely nothing to my piece of mind. I vote "LEAVE THEM OPEN".
(2) The new answering system in the office. It's entirely too layered for words. I'm still waiting for an entire building to flood before someone answers the line. If nothing else -- the initial menu should be split for guests and queries and the other for residents. I've had several times when I have been so frustrated when trying to reach the office or maintenance that I would have gladly thrown my phone out of the window if it would have helped. Sometimes I think smoke signals would have been faster.
(3) I realize it's an apartment and a relatively older complex at that (so there will be noise), but it would be great if there was some sort of sound-proofing between units. I can hear every footfall upstairs and I'm sure it must sound like the Bolshoi Ballet is practicing in my place to the fine folks downstairs.
(4) Also it would be nice if there were separate ventilation systems -- the shared cooking smells can be a little strong (and I'm not that found of garlic, cummin, etc.).
(5) There have been HUGE problems with the water system in the past. The water main seemed to break at least once a quarter for the past two years. I do hope, however, that issue has been resolved through all the major work that's been done on the property. We'll see.

BOTTOM LINE - I like it despite the minor annoyances. It's a great place to live and I don't plan on moving anytime soon.
