Whatta Mess

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
Well...I came home at 5:30 in the evening to find all of my patio furniture removed from my patio and sitting in the pine straw. It had obviously been rained on. I called the office and was told I would get a call back before the office closed at 6. When that did not happen (as usual...they never call back when they say they will) I went to the office and knocked on the locked door. When the door was eventually answered, I told the manager that I wanted my furniture moved back onto my patio and she offered to do it tomorrow. She said that the reason my furniture was moved was because they are doing extensive renovations.
The renovations are all quite noble but this week I had my door mat stolen ... and the office suggested it was probably by one of the "contractors". There has been trash and paint bucket lids left in front of the building door for two days. The trash wasn't picked up until I complained about it.
I have also had contractors entering my apartment without prior notice and was not given the opportunity to put away my valuables. I am sure if something had been stolen, the management would have then denied responsibility.
The rent at these apartments has been drastically reduced. This has brought in an undesireable element. If I were looking for an apartment in this general area I would never rent one of these places. There are several Post Apartment complexes in this area and if I had to do it over again, I would have paid more attention to the Post reputation and rented there.
My apartment is overrun with centipedes and millipedes. The infestation has continued even after I had the apartment sprayed. My apartment is dank and smells musty in some areas. I have complained about mold in the laundry room and that has not been remedied.
The complex has security gates that are rarely operating. It has been weeks since I have had to use my security card to enter the complex.
The dumpsters fill up before they are emptied but the management has handled that by posting signs on them saying if the dumpsters are full, do not leave trash on the ground...please look for a dumpster that is not full. I don't know about the other tenants but when I carry trash several hundred feet to a dumpster, I am definitely not interested in hiking to another location only to find that one full too.
