Here is my honest review with positives and negatives. E-mail me if you have any questions.

I moved out of River Parkway very recently. The new management is trying hard to do "something". They are renovating the 1BR apartments by kicking out the old tenants. How do they kick out the old tenants' By increasing the rent $100 a month! They want you gone so they can renovate your apartment and rent it for ridicilous amounts. Why are the amounts ridiciolus' Because the apartments are old and no amount of renovation is going to solve the roach problem. THIS PLACE IS FULL OF ROACHES!!!! They were in my kitchen, in my bathroom, in my BEDROOM! I'm not even getting into the balconies and patios!
Following the "renovations" they changed our patio doors with "french style" (or whatever) doors that don't have mosquito screen!!! You can't open the patio door to let in some fresh air because all the roaches,crickets, mosquitos, spiders will rush in your apartment.

-They installed new stoves and refrigerators. The fridge is nice but the oven is very basic, it looks nice but when you heat the oven all the top units get so hot that you can boil water! CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP...

-As someone else mentioned, the quality of the people moving in decreased a LOT in the last 6 months.

-They renewed the machines in the laundry room and increased the price to $1.25. IF YOU MOVE IN HERE THE NEW MANAGEMENT WILL KEEP INCREASING THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING TO GET BACK WHAT THEY HAVE SPENT!!!

-They will increase your rent as much as they want. It doesn't matter if you were the best tenant ever or the worst. They simply don't care.

-They changed the water and gas company to Minol and both the gas and water bill increased by twwnty percent. I'm sure the new management gets at least ten percent of that money. Think about it' why did they change it'

-The gates are open during the day. Anyone can get in.

-Since the apartments are old there is no sound insulation. You can hear your upstair neighbour tiptoeing.

-If your neighbour likes spicy food' you'd better get used to it because all the kitchen smell will be in your apartment.

Positives:
-Maintanance is awesome. They come and get your stuff done ASAP.

-Location is great. Kroger is walking distance(though I wouldn't recommend walking:-), I75 and I285 are very close, AMC theatre, Borders, Don Pablos is 2 minutes away.

-The pool is nice, though a bit dirty at times.

-It is VERY quiet most of the time (though I've been hearing a lot of loud rap music the last days I was there)

-A lot of parking space.

Overall, the roach problem and the disrespect for their existing tenants turned me off so bad that I wouldn't recommend River Parkway to my enemy.
