My overview of Walton River is pretty much an okay review. The staff is awesome and the area is very convenient. I just do not agree with the prices for these apartments due to nothing in the apartment have been upgraded and the apartment is at least thirty years old if not older. I have an issue with the rise of rent pricing each year and that Walton River do not offer special reduce rates (at the time of renewal) for tenants who has been here for a while, who has never been late on their rent, and who pays their rent in advance at time.

My other concerns are parking and children. When this was the property of Palisades, I proposed a question about assigned parking and visitors parking. When Walton Community's came along, I proposed that same question along with building a play ground for kids to play. No response and no change. The parking lot lighting is not the problem; it s the limit of spaces and the residents allowing their visitors to park in spaces close to the building when there are other spaces I feel should be used by visitors. Walton Community's decided to build a Kazoo Bo when our kids need some where to play instead of playing in the middle of the street. If I can only tell you how many times I have came home and found kids sitting in the middle of the street (either playing board games or just standing on their bikes talking). Not only do they play in the way of traffic but they are now playing in building where they do not live and it's becoming disturbing. This is not safe for our kids nor is fair to other residents to have to deal with other people children.

So other words I feel we should assigned parking for residents and a visitors parking with at least a two car minimum. Summer is coming and we need an area designated for kids to play. Please consider reduce rate at renewal for long time residents who always pay on time or in advance.

I have just signed a lease with this property and came across this reviews website. I am renting with a friend of mine and we are recent graduates. I have a dog that will need to be walked at all kinds of hours sometimes at dark...do you feel that this is a safe community? I am concerned after reading the stabbing comment. SInce you are a long time tennant how do you feel about this? Have you had any problems in regards to break in's or sketchy people?

Thanks for reading my review. I personally have never experience a break in or and sketchy people, but last summer I believe it was when a tenant was attack after hours in one of our laundry room. I would just say be very careful when walking you dog after dark. During mid April of this year, I spotted either a fox or a coyote by the front gate. This was during the hours of mid night or after.
