The staff at Walton River are great. The turnover is somewhat high..there has been 4-5 different managers in the past four years as well as different leasing consultants. The has been a change in tenants in the past year. It seems like they have just let anyone off the street in. There has been maybe 2 people attacked/robbed that I have heard of since 2005. As for the apartments, they are very old. They have been painted over so many times which makes it look very tacky. They will schedule random carpet cleanings if you need it but don't ever think they will change out the carpet no matter how bad. The vents are filthy, although they do change the air filters regularly. I have asked them to clean the air ducts because my allergies and asthma go crazy but they will not. It is probably too costly. The appliances are old and have not been updated in years. The grounds are not very nice compared to other communities. Parking is rare especially on weeknights. Kids are always in the parking lot with no supervision!! Very annoying! If you're not a smoker and your neighbors smoke, you may as well be because it seaps through the aparments. Even my clothes in the closet and blankets in the linen closet smell like a cigarette. Other than that, the apartments are big but old. It depends what you look for in a place to live.

I disagree with this review because I live at Walton River Apartments. This is my 3rd year here. They have installed new carpet, new light fixtures, new dishwasher and accommodated my ADA needs. The cleaning of the carpet and vents is the responsibility of the tenant in my opinion. Also, there is more than ample parking available even if one has a party with numerous people arriving in cars. Yes, there are some kids that are not supervised but they generally respond to admonishment if it is necessary.

Then, you have been fortunate and must live in a different area of the complex. I have asked for new carpet and a new dishwasher and they refuse. Yes, the vents/air filters can be changed but as for the air ducts themselves, that has to be done by a professional. My review was not all negative, if you read it. It depends on what personally happened to each person and what someone if looking for.
