You pay for what you get. It is inexpensive but apartments are very old. Everything above is true. There are some areas WR is exceptional. I have never met a person in the office I didn't like nor a Maintenance person. I feel that they genuinely care about making this a good living experience. My husband wants to stay here until we get a house but I need more space. I don't know what we will do yet but either way I would recommend WR to you coming from a resident of over three years.

I am a current resident at Walton River and have lived here for the past 3 years. I try to give you a fair overview based on my experience for your consideration.
Location: Excellent location to I-75, I-85, near Chattahoochee National Recreation Center, Cobb Galleria, Cumberland Mall and Akers Mill Square.
Apartments: Good square footage with large rooms and balcony. However, buildings are old and not energy efficient. Cabinets, bathrooms, and appliances are old but in an okay condition.
Parking: Good parking and well-lit area.
Safety: I heard that there was an armed robbery during the past year and that a SUV was damaged (by kids). There is a "secure, card entry gate" but solicitors come and go freely and non-residents come in at times.
Maintenance: Maintenance staff is professional and expeditious in responding to requests. Property Monitors and Housekeeper are consistently about to keep community areas clean.
Management: It's a job for them that has to be done. However, I believe they are trying. Responsiveness is not a strong point. Lip-service is a strong point though. Rent goes up every year and above the rate of an average rate increase compared to other markets.
Owners: Very responsive and genuinely concerned about the property and the residents' well-being. Currently, the property is undergoing major improvements in appearance with new landscaping, painting, new apartment entrance doors, and an added picnic center with BBQ grill.
Overall: In general, the community is quiet with just a few noise makers (loud music). The kids don't have a playground and so they play in the parking lots, in and around the buildings (hide and seek). While there is a 15 mile speed limit, there are speeders and some drive the one-way roads in the wrong direction. The community center has some amenities such as library, computer and swimming pool - but they are nothing to brag about.
I hope this helps you in making a decision about your future home.

Thank you so much for all your comments!!! :-)
Well, I saw fitness room and pool are out side the gate, I am curious that can some one who is not a resident, using or get in the room ?
I am just afraid if I use it at night time.
Then, I read one of comment about flood in the apartment (or community), is that true ?
How much or how many percentage for increasing rent per year ?
Thanks again!!!

Well if the child was identified, why wasn't I notified? I incurred a cost of $500 to replace the windshield; the parents should have paid this. (And yes, I did file a police report.)

Can you please contact the office with this information? The only situation that I am aware of, the family paid the damages and are no longer living at Walton River.
Thanks,
